The students brought collage materials and I provided a packet. I always like to find some things I haven't seen before to incorporate.
This woman (Jessica) did some pieces in small drawers that I didn't get a good shot of. I'll try to get that image for you later.
I like this shot because you can see the waxy surface. Mostly you can't see that in photographs.
Hey. Someone brought a folder made in Mary Ann's online class! Gorgeous, isn't it? Whew! Three hours on this post; tried to import the video Kathy shot but couldn't do it. Decided to post the photos for those of you not members of Facebook. Later!!
ps - Look what I found!! The drawers have waxed and faux gold edges. She found a little cabinet at the 2nd hand store and just used the drawers. Brilliant!!

Thanks for posting Judy! Facebook is a distraction that I can't participate in. No, I'm resisting, I can't do it!

Wow...I am blown away by the art that flowed there, Judy ! You must have been glowing with all the energy in the room !
Welcome home and job well done !
Ohmygosh --- these are absolutely magnificent. You're right. This group was absolutely on fire. I'm surprised the wax could even solidify. I wish I'd been there!
Great work-I especially love the Medusas.
these pieces are so amazing i don't know where to start. such a beautiful range of work here. and that fifth image is so powerful. wow.
wow what great eye candy...i was always afeared of the encaustic because it looked way too confusing and over my head (and ability) but these pictures make it seem more achievable...if i wasn't afraid of hot wax and small rugrat hands getting into it. it looks like a fabulously creative time.
Judy, It looks like you had wonderful classes. The artwork created shines. Thanks for sharing.
Exceptional work! Obviously a very successful workshp.
Wow! Wonderful work!
What great work from your class; it is nice to see the results and to see the proud expressions on the artists faces. JT

Wow! What amazing works of art!
Absolutely amazing pieces...I bet the studio smelled of glorious beeswax all weekend long.
Hi Judy!
These are BEAUTIFUL and I am wondering if you might teach this particular workshop at Artfest next year? Are you ever going to do a workshop on those fabulous dolls you made?
Hi Tara,
I won't be teaching at Artfest next year because the dates collide with the time I'll be in Australia. And I'll be teaching the dolls class at Art & Soul this October. I think that class is filled though. xo
