p.s. Allegra has posted about a fellow artist who could use a little help and about an opportunity to participate in a give-away on her site. Read about it here.
Oh, you're a brave woman! I ventured to the tulip fields yesterday and fought itchy, watery eyes and sinus headache the whole way. And there's a layer of pollen on my deck and driveway.
But there you are, the Diva of Dandelions! How did you manage to get this shot?
Dandelions, what a nice word, similar to the German Löwenzahn, which means the same: the tooth of a lion. :) Now they are nearly everywhere and that's fine, because the daffodils are gone...
When John was a little boy he used to bring me bouquets of "dandy lions" and I always thought of big felines dressed like Beau Brummel with a top hat. He never knew that his love for his mother resulted almost inevitably in a visit to our doctor as it always announced the arrival of allergy season. Stay away from lions, dandy or not. Hugs from both us.
a beautiful woman napping on the spring green grass, surrounded by dandelions, could there be anything sweeter after such a long and dreary PNW winter?!
Judy Wise is an Oregon painter, writer and teacher whose work has been published over several decades in books and periodicals, on greeting cards, textiles, educational materials, calendars and in the gift industry. She is prolific and inventive, keeping daily journals of her writing and art since childhood and finding fascination in many divergent art related areas. She knows that art saves lives, that people who make art are more interesting than people who don’t, and that everyone can be creative if they are adventurous. She is a passionate lover of all things artful and of helping others find joy in the process of self expression.
