Journal Class Countdown

Gently nudging myself forward; getting used to being home again with all the familiar sights and diversions.

Daffodils greeted me on my morning stroll; the world is yellow, the color of new beginnings.

Monday the Journal Class begins; now that I've unpacked my suitcases and sent off my taxes I can turn my energies toward the final preparations. We're all excited. New journals are being made, old ones are being dusted off, budding writers and mixed media aficionados are gathering up their favorite supplies in anticipation.

Meanwhile I'm going over the videos and lessons I prepared before my travels; adding to and making sure everything's there that needs to be there.

I want it to be wonderful.

I want to encourage you to be lifelong journal keepers.

I read a book title this week that intrigued me. It was "Write It Down, Make It Happen".

I believe in those words.

We learn to know ourselves more deeply.

We admit to the dreams we dared not name.

We find that we can make amazing things come into our lives.

And in the process of unfolding our hearts we create beauty.

We become better writers and better artists.

We discover how much we can grow.

My journal is my guidance system, confidant and the place I go to meet myself.

Join us if you can. It's going to be a great party.

First, I love the photo of the daffodil and the Buddha. Beautiful. Second, your journal pages are beautiful and look so rich with life. Third but not last and certainly not least, I am so looking forward to the journaling class. To wake up to Judy videos again is fantastic. I certainly hope that you can get me off dead center and pointed toward journaling everyday. Can't wait.

Hi Judy,
I have read that book and it is every bit as good as the title leads you to believe. The writer is actually local (Edmonds, WA) :)
The book is simple but powerful.
Getting excited-see oyu soon,

Is that Buddha in your yard? If so, how lucky you are!

I have a beautiful photo of a Buddha in the snow in front of a really old tree that was given to me by a former co worker. I should use it in a journal!

Welcome home!

What you've said about journaling...so good. I find that I leave journaling for last instead of first, in my creativity list. I could definitely use this class right now, and I hope it's available again. Artfest kind of rearranged my schedule. time. it is the stuff life is made of.

I HAVE that book!! Sits just to my right, on my desk.
I love your use of the week-long journal spread technique. It shows how words and art CAN co-exist. So often mine are 2 separate books.
