Yes, I'm cheating a little here but carefully. I just couldn't wait any longer to let you know that I am getting better day by day and to thank you, thank you, thank you for your words and prayers of support. I feel that this experience has deepened my compassion for all of us humans who live and at some point suffer loss and crushing blows. I want to gather every one of you in my mother-arms and console you for any pain you experience in this life. I spent a week in the darkest sadness but turned the corner over the weekend at the beach with my family surrounding me. I spoke to my sister on the phone and her strength came to me with such force and grace that I picked myself up again.
I have received love from unexpected places and I have experienced the difference that makes. I am humbled by the goodness that surrounds us all. And I am seeing again through my right eye; watching the new family of floaters and debris that is getting better day by day. I am profoundly grateful that I get to return to my new normal now. I am even more emotional than usual (big crybaby that I am) and I am so grateful; for life, vision, family, friends and especially for this amazing community of artist friends who are simply the finest humans possible. Thank you. Thank you all for your lovely messages which meant everything to me in a very dark hour.

So glad to hear from you. I was thinking about you every day wondering how you could possibly make it through without your journal and picturing you talking into a microphone, but knowing that it would not be the same.

Oh Judy....l am so sorry you have been so ill but l am glad you are getting better. I cannot imagen what it must have been and still is for you to worry about your sight. I am so sorry l have not sent healing light coming your way sooner but l too have had a life altertning experience. My husband of 37 years had a heart attack a week or so ago and my world was rocked. Thank god he is now on the mend and all is right in my household as he is now home with me.xx Does make me so grateful for life and l view live quite differently now I have always been grateful for my life but from now on l am VERY greatfully.xxanyway..wishing you keep getting well day to day and that l can still enjoy your amazing art for years to comexxlol lyndax

I had to get a sty in my eyelid lanced a couple of weeks ago.
That was not vision-threatening, but having anyone cutting that close to my eyeball had me thinking about the extent to which so much that I love is inextricably bound to being able to SEE..........
So very glad for you that things are going better, and, along with everyone else, wishing that your eye heal up swiftly and smoothly and your vision be as good as new.
So happy to hear that you are turning a corner and doing much better. I continue to pray that your eye heals nicely and that you move past this into the future blessed with the eyesight to see it's brightness. :)

Oh Judy, I'm so glad you got better and can see again! My dad was in the same dark place last October, so scary! We artists need our vision, and things like this makes you humble and reminds us to not take it for granted... Have a nice weekend!
