Post Holiday Calm

Boy, it's quiet out here in Blogland. I think we're all taking a breather, flopped back on the couch with our feet on the coffee table, dreamily contemplating those visions of sugarplums. As for me, I'm on a walking regimen that I've discovered chases the wintertime blues away. It's a revelation as I'm a very lazy person who has never gotten as much exercise as I know I should. But 3 miles in the morning before breakfast has turned things around. I even got up earlier than usual this morning just jonesing to get outside. (It's a miracle!!!!)

I'm making samples for classes too; celebrating winter in my own way with snow queens and ice princesses. This is the season for mica and german glass and lace and tinsel. I'm enjoying the cozy studio more than ever and hope you're finding time and inspiration to do the things you love too.

No walking around here because puppydom is acting up, meaning they are totally upset by the noises outside, a neighbor having some trees taken down as they are at risk if we have another ice storm.

I too long for time in my studio, but other obligations are taking that away from me right now. I will make the time soon, I hope. Save the 14th, John will get to taste the new brands that that crazy husband of mine has gotten from Jalisco. Miss your faces, hope to see you perhaps sooner than the 14th. I love your ice queen, what is there not to love about anything you create?

My imagination's working overtime, seeing lovely twinkling lights, warm cosy fires, hot drinks and big thick jumpers, sorry sweaters, a real Christmas, while we sit here in shorts and sandals, the bar-b-que going, sun screened bodies and flies. I've lived here most of my life but it's still not quite Christmas.

Oh how lovely - snow queens, glass and sparkly things. Beats the heavy, gloomy fog - even those it is inspirational in a way, too, when it comes to imagining w.h.a.t. lies b.e.y.o.n.d. the fog. Oooooohhhh!

Love that snow queen!!! I am also working on class samples between fiddling around with my new macbook.
I love a good walk (in the morning) but lately it's been on the treadmill (ugh) as it is brutally cold here.
