Baby Love

Saturday evening the Garden Friends gathered at Patti's house for a winter repast. Home made Pinot Noir wine, cheese from the new cow, greens from various gardens, salmon with black smoked salt and many other wonderous foods to share around the table. But best of all, little baby Tao.

Click to enlarge. He loved my new camera and figured all the buttons out right away. Those tiny little fingers, so cleverly exploring the wonders of seeing himself and the rest of us in the viewer. And then his expressions as I took frame after frame of his adorable face.

And suddenly the money shot. I nearly faint from the beauty of it all. Thanks for visiting!

Judy, as a new first-time grandmother, I love your photos of those cheeks!
And the puppy snapshot is pure gold...
Your warm descriptions of gatherings with luscious meals always make me drool.
Friends, food, and baby cheeks! What a wonderful way to stave off winter doldrums.

Absolutely enchanting! Money shot/heart shot ... you got it, babe! Incidentally, I loved that photo of you younger. Oh, you looked happy then and happy now. You've come full circle. ()

Oh my god, Judy, that's one of those shots you pray for! The gods smiled on you for sure. Way to go, girl.

What an AWESOME picture, girlfriend (the dog licking his ear!) It made me squeal!

Oh my gosh, I would faint too. "Perfessionals" wait years for such a shot, it seems. The universe is good to you as you are good to it.

He is such a charmer, isn't he? Thanks for the updates on Tao, too.

There is nothing like the love of a child.

You made my heart melt and now I'm so lonely for my little Iris.....

Why is it that the blooming dog gets to do what any sane Meemaw wannabe would gladly give a year of her life to do?

I already told you how crazy I am about him. He is so beautiful, so classic. His face and expressions always makes me think of little Emperor, a child out a gorgeous dynasty of gorgeous ancestors. The look in the last photo reveals the actual age of his soul. That, my love, was indeed worth the price of the camera. See you Sunday, love to you both.

Holy cow....the dog licking ear photo should be sent to some kind of photo contest.

Is that film roll setting from the camera or a blog trick?????
