If you do nothing else today I hope you'll go over to
Katie's blog and read what she has to say about serving others. This is what happens to many women at a certain age; along with many other things we see our own mortality and the futility of selfish goals - we take note of the vast joy that flows in when we help others. She says it so beautifully. (Photo above of myself speaking to a group of future artists at a local high school.)
Judy, this (THIS) is my dream -- to teach high schoolers (boys and girls) to journal, visually, in written form, whatever ... I'm in the process right now of learning what actual qualifications I need to have to set foot on the premises, teacher certification, whatever, or if I can just be a 'volunteer' and plant myself in a room with goodies and supplies. These 2 pictures of you will really REALLY help my visualization process.
ReplyDeletelook at you go...it warms my heart to know of all the lives you touch with your love and encouragement. these are some lucky high school students. i'm honored you mentioned my blog post judy, kindred spirits we are(but you already know that)
